GENERAL CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. Catechism office is open for registration every Friday after all the Masses for children to renew their registration for 2006 – 2007 classes

2. Friday: 1 st September 2006 : First Friday of the month English Holy Hour of Adoration from 3.30p.m to 4.30p.m at the Church. In Tamil from 7.15p.m to 8.15p.m at the Main Hall Basement

3. Friday 1 st September2006 : Meeting of Catechists from 8.30a.m to 12.00 noon Venue: Catechism Office

4. Friday 8 th September 2006 : Feast of the Nativity of Our Blessed Lady Masses as per Friday Schedule

At 10.00a.m Mass in Konkani at the Main Church to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady after which the Konkani Community meets at Girls' School Compound for Flower Festival and distribution of Blessed New Corns

The usual Mass in English at 10.00a.m will be celebrated at the Main Hall

5. Friday 8 th September 2006 : Baptism Seminar at the Mini Hall 9.00a.m to 10.00a.m Parents and God Parents to be; must attend this Seminar and obtain certificate

6. Friday 15 th September 2006 : Catechists Mandate: 10.00a.m at the Main Church . Further details will be announced in due course

7. Tuesday 19 th September 2006 : Meeting of all Choir Leaders of the Church at Mini Hall at 7.30p.m. All Choir Leaders are requested to attend

8. Friday 22 nd September 2006 : Catechism classes for children commences

9. “FEAST OF OUR LADY OF VAILANKANNI” will be celebrated by the Tamil Community on Friday the 15th September 2006 Procession will commence at 11a.m. followed by Feast Holy Mass at 12.30 p.m . in the “ Main Church ” Cultural Program will commence at 3 p.m. at the Main Hall immediately after lunch

“NOVENA” in preparation of the Feast will commence from 6th September 2006 at 7.45 p.m. to 14th September 2006

Tamil Congregation Announcements

* We will be having “Holy Hour of Adoration” on every First Friday during our usual Friday Prayer meetings in TAMIL . Come in great numbers and be showered with the Blessings of the Eucharistic Lord, who awaits you in the BLESSED SACRAMENT

* The weekly Tamil Friday Prayer Meetings start at 6.50p.m with “Rosary”, “Litany” continue with “Praise & Worship", “Thanksgiving & Petitions” and conclude with reflections on “Word of God”. Dinner will be served to all after the prayer meetings. Your generous contributions for this noble cause are requested . “May God bless you and your family for your generosity”

* For the convenience of our brethren who come from Sonapur, Al Quoz, Awir & Safa Park (via Satwa & Karama) Transport facilities have been arranged for the “Monthly” Mass and the “Weekly” Prayer Meetings. Kindly inform this to your other friends who do not come for these services. Those who wish to sponsor or contribute for this service may please contact Mr. Prabhakaran, Committee Member & Transport In-charge on 050-3572079.

* Our Dubai St. Mary's Tamil Community's dedicated web site www.stmarystamil.org has started receiving prayer requests through the “Contact Us” mail service. Each request is replied with consoling “Good News” and if necessary counseling. These requests are prayed for by various prayer groups belonging to different communities and our prayer group. Soon we intend to start 24 hours “Intercessory chain prayers” and “Eucharistic Adorations” for these requests. Kindly inform this to your near and dear ones here, in India and elsewhere and invite them to use this dedicated facility for their intentions.

* Those who are interested in joining the Tamil choir and those who can play any Musical Instruments including Key-board, Violin, Guitar, Drums, Tablas , Saxophone,Flute etc., may please contact any Committee Member urgently

* Those who wish to join the “Volunteers Sodality”, “Readers Sodality”, “Prayer Sodality”, and “Preachers Sodality” and Boys & Girls within the age group of 8 to 12 who have received First Holy Communion and wish to join the “Alter Servers Sodality” may please contact Mr. Cyril Raja Committee Member on his Mobile 050-6569172.

* Those who wish to give “Intentions” for the Tamil service are requested to come to the “Sacristy” at least 15 minutes before the mass and contact our Coordinator & Lay-Minister Mr. Anselm T.Francis . Mobile 050-4944188.
